We were never meant to live the Christian life alone. We were created to be in relationships. God created us for a relationship with himself. Our purpose is to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever. God also said that it wasn’t good for man to be alone. He needed a helpmate. He then commanded them to create community and to fill the earth. We are relational people, created for it and we experience God and his fullness as we express relationship.
At Glasgow Church we want to help people connect in community with each other so that they can work out their salvation with the support, encouragement and care of others who are on the same journey, just at different points. To encourage this we have created and encourage attendance in a community. We have In Home Communities.
IN HOME COMMUNITIES
In Home Communities meet in homes at various times of the week in a smaller group setting. In Home communities spend time in fellowship, prayer and most groups focus on discussions about that weeks sermon content. CONNECT: Find ways to get involved with the church and a place where believers can care for each other and spur each other in their relationship with Christ.
GROW: Learn to apply the truth of the gospel to new areas of your life and find small groups to take relationships to a deeper level.
SERVE: Take ownership of your community, find places to lead in the church, and encounter different ways to be part of outreach and missions.
