I’m New
Welcome to Glasgow Church, a place where you and your family are safe and among friends. Whether you are single or married, with or without children, young or old, no matter what your life experiences, we invite you to join us for a dynamic worship experience that focuses on the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. At Glasgow you will find a church filled with people from all walks of life.
We have answered some anticipated questions you might have and provided a virtual tour to familiarize you with our building.
Who are the leaders at GRPC?
Under the governance of our elders GRPC is led by Dr. Charles F. Betters and a wonderful staff.
What should I expect if I visit a Sunday worship service?
Each Sunday, we have one service at 10:30 a.m. at two different locations, our Glasgow Campus and our Southern Kent Campus in the Dover/Camden-Wyoming, Delaware. Each service lasts about an hour and a half and the music at each service is identical. A style we call “ancient-future,” renders our services culturally relevant and draws on the best music of yesterday and today. The worship is creative, uplifting, mind-stretching, eclectic and unpredictable. Our sermons are focused on the infallible Word of God, the Bible, which teaches us who God is and what he did for us, and gives instruction on how we should live.
At our Glasgow campus, we have special parking reserved for visitors. Please notify the parking attendent that you are visiting for the first time and they will direct you to our front row parking.
As part of our worship, we also include the collection of tithes and offerings, an act of thanksgiving to God. As a visitor, please do not feel obligated to participate in the collection.
We also offer Sunday School classes for adults and children, K-12, and provide loving care in nurseries for children from birth through preschool age.
Where do I go?
We understand that this is where it be can intimidating. View our virtual tour if you would like a preview that could be helpful in learning your way around our building. When you arrive, we will have greeters on duty at the door who consider it a pleasure to answer any questions and assist you in any way they can. If they don’t know an answer to your question, they will find someone who does and direct you to the right location.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code. Because of our relaxed atmosphere, you will see everything from suits to office casual to jeans and sneakers. Once the service starts, our focus is on biblical worship, not on our clothing, so dress comfortably and come as you are.
What does GRPC offer my kids?
At Glasgow, our passion is to minister to your children. Through engaging worship, dynamic Bible lessons, and fun activities, our children’s ministry is designed to help your children grow spiritually and relationally. As you walk through our building, you will notice it was designed with children in mind. We want Glasgow to be one of your child’s favorite places.
Does GRPC offer anything for my teenagers?
Our youth ministry, REACH, exists to serve students in the 7th through 12th grades. We have students from a variety of public, private, and home schools.
Where can I get more information about the church and its ministries?
Browsing around the website will help you get a better feel for who we are and what is happening here, but if you cannot find the information you are looking for, please contact us.
What is the next step after visiting?
The first step is to get involved. A great place to start is to join us for our next Taste of Glasgow, a special night for those in our community who are curious to know more about the ministry of Glasgow Church. From there, visit a house church or get involved with some of our sports. Once you have been coming for a while, consider attending the Inquirer’s Class. Offered twice a year, Inquirer’s is a seven week class that offers you the opportunity to ask questions as you learn more about our vision, what the church believes and why we believe it.
