W2W continues this winter and spring, digging deep into God’s Word to focus on studies that explore who God is and how we are to respond to the difficult world we live in today. Programs begin on January 13th.

I Believe: Exploring The Apostles Creed by Alister McGrath

This study meets in the morning and evening.

In this brief book, Alister McGrath introduces us to the essential truths about God the Father, the Person and work of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. There are six sections in the book with discussion questions.

John MacArthur takes readers on a journey through biblical texts to discover what lies beneath the surface—focusing on meaning and context, and then reflecting on the explored passage or concept There are probing questions that guide the reader toward application as well as ample space for journaling.

The following two classes will be offered together, in the morning and evening.

Being a Disciple, Counting the Real Cost

Precept Study – This class does not have homework.

Jesus said, “Come, follow me!” Will you? What will it take? Get past the fear of commitment and learn about the freedom of walking in Christ. Discover the marks and joys of the true follower of Jesus Christ.

How Do You Walk the Talk You Talk?

Precept Study – This class does not have homework.

Do you know who you are in Christ and do you walk in a manner worthy of your calling—a life that imitates the walk and talk of Jesus? This study from Ephesians offers practical advice for everyday living.

Studies which will continue from the fall session:

Lord, Where Are You When Bad Things Happen? (Habakkuk)

by Kay Arthur.

This study by Precept Ministries will be a year long and will only be offered in the morning. It will involve around 20 minutes of homework a night. The group will alternate each week by having discussion on the homework one week and the next week listening to a teaching DVD by Kay Arthur.

Way of the Psalms: 12 Studies in the Psalms by Kathleen Nielson

This class will be offered in the evening only.

Get to know the God of Israel, the same God we worship today, through the many praises, hymns, and prayers offered to Him in the Psalms. Kathleen Nielson leads you through careful inductive study that will help you read, understand, and apply God’s word.

Glasgow Moms Group

This group for mothers with children birth – age 5 will meet on Wednesday mornings only.

The study will be a DVD series on “Love and Respect.”

What is W2W?

Woman to Woman (W2W) exists to minister to women by grounding them in the Word of God for the purpose of :

  • spreading the gospel through contact with the surrounding communities and reinforcing God’s truth in the hearts of Christian women.
  • encouraging a deeper, intimate relationship with Christ that is reflected in our lives and the relationships in our homes, church and community.
  • creating a community of connectedness and compassion that comforts, corrects, confronts and challenges one another in our effort to glorify God with our lives.

W2W meets Wednesdays in the morning and evening from January to mid April and September through the end of November.  Nursery is provided  during the morning session for children under the age of five.  The evening session of W2W is part of Family Night.  Nursery care for children under the age of three is provided and there are classes and activities that include all other ages.
