Side by Side
We are so excited about the things God is doing in this new ministry to special needs children and their families – SIDE BY SIDE. Side by Side works with children with special needs by providing a ‘buddy’ to accompany each child during Sunday school classes and children’s choir. Our goal is to provide an environment where every child in our community can participate as fully as possible in church activities. We also seek to allow families with special needs children to be able to join in worship with the 
congregation.
In May, 2008, we started the ministry with three children. Since then, God has blessed the ministry with seven more children and an amazing group of ‘buddies’ – teens, adults, men and women, who love these children and faithfully befriend and accompany them every week. Their dedication, committment, and Christ-like nurturing of these children are the very heart and soul of this ministry.
