1st – 6th Grade

During the elementary years, children begin to grasp concepts discussed in the worship service.  Learning to worship and study God’s Word next to mom and dad is a blessing for both parents and children.  God often speaks to little hearts during this time and we have had many parents share their experiences about training their children as they respond to their  questions.  A worship kit is provided for the “new kid in the pew.”  A special area, complete with a closed circuit TV, is provided for parents as they transition their children from Kindergaten class into worshipping with the congregation in the sanctuary.

1-6-webTo help children gain a stonger theological background, Kid’s Church is offered separately while the sermon is being preached.  At Kid’s Church, your children will hear teaching at an age-appropriate level.

Then on Wednesday nights, commonly referred to as “Family Night,” there are age level groups for both boys and girls.  For boys, there is Tree Climbers for first and second graders and Boy’s Brigade for third through sixth graders.  For girls we offer Little WICs (Women in the Church) for first through sixth graders.  Each group focuses on applying reinforcement of topics discussed during Sunday school, Sunday morning services, etc.  Boys earn badges and work on building strong character traits as they grow into manhood and moms and daughters work together on crafts and Bible study time, sharing what it means to be a godly woman.  There are special events: a TEA, soap box derby,  camping, several service projects, and more.
