Soccer

Glasgow Church is a member of the Delaware Youth Soccer Association (DYSA).  We offer programs for beginning soccer players all the way up to competitive players who are learning advanced skills and strategy.  Our league is divided…instructional league and  recreational inter-league.  The instructional league operates each fall and our recreational inter-league teams play throughout the year.

Instructional League – For novice players ages 4-12
This is a league focused around having fun and learning the game. Emphasis is placed on the development and application of basic soccer skills and team play in a semi-competitive environment.  This league is open to players, regardless of skill level.

Recreational Inter-League – For intermediate/advanced players ages 8-15
This league offers a more competitive format for players who want to develop their skills to a higher level.  Building on the basics, players learn and apply more advanced playing skills including positional play, offensive and defensive strategies and set plays.  Tryouts are mandatory.
